‘Daily Show’ Chronicles Fox News’ Bizarre NYE Show With 2016ers (VIDEO)

“The Daily Show” used its first episode of 2016 on Monday to chronicle the bizarre New Year’s Eve show hosted by Fox News.

The network gave each of the Republican presidential candidates the chance to give messages for 2016.

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) gave a “short and sweet” message while host Trevor Noah questioned the authenticity of former technology executive Carly Fiorina’s comments. All the while, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) seemed to be trying to filibuster the countdown to midnight.

“Look at Cruz, he’s still talking,” Noah said. “Nobody wants to hear your story man. It’s New Year’s Eve. People want to get hammered and watch people in strange hats kissing.”

See how long Cruz tries to filibuster the New Year, from Comedy Central, below:

  1. I refuse to watch the Daily Show now. Trevor Noah is pretty funny at times but overall, he’s inconsistent. I don’t know if it’s him, that stupid laugh or his writing staff. Either he or staff has got to go.

  2. I agree. I have 22 episodes on my DVR I haven’t watched. I don’t want to delete them because I feel like I’d miss something, & I don’t care enough to watch them, well, because I don’t care enough. I’ve never in my life seen anyone laugh at their own jokes as much as Trevor does, it’s very annoying, especially because a lot of the time the jokes aren’t funny. John Stewart for life!!!
