Sen. Tim Kaine’s (D-VA) speaking Spanish in his Democratic National Convention speech last night was predictably polarizing for the pundits following along at home.

Kaine, who is fluent in Spanish after a year working with Jesuit missionaries in Honduras, earned generally positive reviews from liberals and establishment Democrats.
