Stephen Colbert will be a guest next week on “The Late Show with David Letterman” for the first time since he was announced as Letterman’s successor.
CBS announced that Colbert will sit down with Letterman on Tuesday, April 22. The network revealed last week that Colbert will replace Letterman when the late night legend next year.
As a result of the transition, the comedian will drop the faux right-wing pundit character he’s mastered since 2005 on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report.”
