CNN Poll: Romney, Santorum Locked In Ohio

The Ohio Republican primary is the closest contest on Super Tuesday, with momentum for former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney’s candidacy at stake. And a new CNN poll the race in Ohio couldn’t be any closer — Romney and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum both get 32 percent in the network’s new poll, while former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has 14 percent and Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) is at 11 percent.

“Ohio is yet another state in which Republican primary voters are split ideologically,” CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said in their write-up. “Romney has an 18-point advantage among moderates, while Santorum is up by eight among conservatives.”

The TPM Poll Average now shows Romney with a 1-point lead in the state ahead of tomorrow’s vote.
