Hillary Clinton swiped at her Democratic presidential opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) on Friday, telling him on Twitter to stop making “false innuendos” about her stance on Social Security.

Sanders kicked off the mini-spat by asking Clinton to affirm that she will “never cut Social Security” as president, linking to a press release of a speech the Democratic candidate gave in Exeter, New Hampshire on Friday evening. Sanders told the crowd that he planned to increase cost-of-living adjustments and increase the amount in taxes that the wealthiest Americans have to pay into the system.

Almost immediately, Clinton fired back, saying she’ll “defend it, & expand it.” The former secretary of state included a link to her campaign plan on Social Security, which involves demanding lower prescription drug prices for Medicare recipients and fighting efforts to privatize both Medicare and Social Security.

The two candidates left in the Democratic race faced off on Twitter earlier in the week, with Sanders knocking Clinton for claiming to be both a moderate and a progressive. During Thursday’s MSNBC debate, the two addressed the issue again, and Clinton defended herself by claiming to be “a progressive who gets things done.”
