Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said in an interview aired Sunday that she didn’t expect to have a contested convention and expected to be the nominee.
Clinton noted on CNN’s “State of the Union” that she had a larger lead over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) than now-President Obama had over her in 2008.
“I think we should look at where we are right now I’m leading him with about 2.5 million in the popular vote, I’m leading in pledged delegates with larger margin than Sen. Obama ever had over me,” Clinton said. “I feel good about the upcoming contest and I expect to be the nominee, and I would hope to have a unified, Democratic party.”
I don’t expect a contested convention, either.
No one familiar with math expects a contested convention.
Yeah, well Al Gore won the popular vote in a national election, but did not win the election. So good luck with that, Hillary.
It´s kinda hard to have a contested election when there´s only 2 candidates*, and one of them wins the majority of the pledged delegates. The only way that there´d be controversy would be if one of them were to win the majority of the pledged delegates, but the super delegates voted for the other candidate. But that´s not very likely, because what would invoke a political firestorm that would enguld the party
O does that mean that Bernie is planning on taking it all the way to the Supremes like the GOP did? hahahahahahahaha
