President Barack Obama gave as good as he got Monday when a Chicago man teased him about standing at the voting booth next to his fiancé.

“Mr. President, don’t touch my girlfriend,” Mike Jones said as he walked by the voting booths.

“I really wasn’t planning on it,” Obama responded.

“Did he really just say that?” Jones’ embarrassed fiancé, Aia Cooper, said. “I’m sorry, please excuse him.”

“Now there’s an example of a brother just embarrassing me for no reason,” Obama said, joking that Cooper would go home and tell the story to her family and friends.

“I can’t believe Mike, he’s such a fool,” he said, imagining Cooper’s voice. “But fortunately, the President was nice about it, so it’s alright.”

The President then walked over to Cooper and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

“You’re gonna kiss me, give him something to talk about,” Obama said. “Now he’s really jealous.”

Cooper later assured the First Lady that the peck was nothing to worry about.

“He gave me a hug and a kiss, on the cheek, just the cheek – please, Michelle, don’t come after me – just the cheek!” she told local TV station WLS.
