The French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, which was the target of a January attack that left 11 staffers dead, unveiled its first defiant cover since the Paris attacks Tuesday.
“They have weapons. Fuck them, we have champagne!” the headline reads. The issue was posted online by Charlie columnist Mathieu Madénian ahead of its publication on Wednesday.
It’s the magazine’s first issue since 132 people were killed in a string of attacks across Paris last week, the deadliest attack on the country since World War II.
