House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) said on Tuesday that he was still waiting on the White House to detail what spending cuts President Obama would be willing to make in a potential deal to avert the so-called fiscal cliff at the end of the year.

“Where are the President’s spending cuts?” Boehner said in speech on the House floor.

Boehner and Obama met privately on Sunday at the White House on the same topic, to which the Speaker described as “cordial” and “a nice meeting.”

Following Boehner on the House floor, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) responded to the request, noting that Obama already agreed to $1.6 trillion in spending cuts in the Budget Control Act negotiated last year.
