House Speaker John Boehner’s (R-OH) office reacted to news Thursday that White House officials found conclusive evidence that Syrian President Bashar Assad has used chemical weapons against opposition forces.
“It is long past time to bring the Assad regime’s bloodshed in Syria to an end. As President Obama examines his options, it is our hope he will properly consult with Congress before taking any action,” Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck wrote in a statement.
