House Speaker John Boehner on Wednesday honored Gabe Zimmerman (pictured above), an aide to Rep. Gabrielle Giffords who was killed in the shooting Arizona last January. Zimmerman was 30. The House is expected to honor Zimmerman by dedicating a room to him.
“An attack on one who serves is an attack on all who serve,” Boehner said on the House floor Wednesday. “I don’t think I fully understood the meaning of those words until last January’s senseless assault on our fellow citizens and our most fundamental responsibilities.”
