Wow. Oh wow. I was watching in a public space and had to move before I began weeping.

Going back to speech writing 101, one has a manifest audience – the people in the room – and a hidden audience – the people outside the room who also hear or read the speech.

The hidden audience here is you and me that includes millions of women watching what is purely a charade and a pretense of fact-finding. Overall, it comes across as abuse and hectoring of a very fragile witness.

Whether Kav ultimately gets nominated or not, this will have been one of the biggest political blunders of a party in years. My wife and sister, no shrinking violets, can barely watch it. I will ask my daughter, a tough, seasoned, courtroom defense attorney about her impressions of these. Bill Maher said he feels like he’s watching something from “The Crucible”.

We’re watching this panel of Cotton Mathers put a revolver to their heads and pull the trigger. Not a pretty sight, even with these gigantic GOP pricks.

And the Dem senators are coming across as gallant and considerate.
One couldn’t write a script more favorable to the Dems. And Grassley is —well, the jerk who bans dancing at the local high school.

  3. From your mouth to the Deity’s ear. Would that this be their California English Only Win moment. The moment that banished the post Reagan California owning GOP into permanent minority status in that State, safely Red districts excepting.

  4. This is killing me. Why are some people so evil?
