An attorney in New York attempted to use President Trump’s recent comment that flipping “almost ought to be illegal” as a defense for his client in a drug case trial, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday. It didn’t work.

Judge Gregory Woods disagreed and prevented Nkrumah from pursuing the argument further to the jury.

“I did not permit the defendant to comment on that presidential tweet,” Woods said, apparently referring to a tweet of Trump’s remarks.
