New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s plan to combat the obesity epidemic by banning large sugary drinks from restaurants and other places is an illegal overreach of executive power, a state appeals court unanimously ruled Tuesday, upholding a lower court’s March decision that struck down the law, according to Reuters.
