Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) said Wednesday that he totally disagreed with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA)’s comment about the Benghazi investigation, according to MSNBC.

McCarthy, who is vying to be the next House speaker, earlier this week boasted that the GOP-led House investigation had harmed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

“I totally disagree with those comments,” Amash said, according to the report.

When he was asked whether it could hurt McCarthy’s likeliness to becoming speaker, Amash responded, as quoted by the report, “I think it should be a concern.”
