Actor and activist Alec Baldwin will host a late night show on MSNBC airing Fridays at 10pm ET, the network announced Thursday.
The show, entitled “Up Late w/Alec Baldwin,” will air in October and is billed as a “current events and culture talk” program.
“After two seasons of my WNYC podcast, I’ve developed a fondness for hosting a show that involved talking with smart, talented and engaging people in every imaginable field,” Baldwin, known most recently for his role as Jack Donaghy on NBC’s “30 Rock,” said in a statement. “I’m grateful to MSNBC for helping me bring a similar show to television.”
