22 Candidates Running To Fill Jackson’s House Seat

Twenty-two candidates have filed to fill Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District since Rep. Jesse Jackson (D) resigned in November, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. The field includes 17 Democrats and five Republicans. 

Many of the candidates are touting their fundraising numbers in order to stand out in the crowd, the Sun-Times reports. They will compete in a Feb. 26 primary.
