1,200-Plus Law Professors Sign Letter Asking Senate To Oppose Kavanaugh

In a letter calling on the Senate to oppose Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court, more than 1,200 law professors — who have signed it so far — told lawmakers that Kavanaugh’s “temperament” during the hearings last week was “disqualifying for any court, and certainly for elevation to the highest court in the land.”

    And yet the polling shows more R’s are becoming activated to vote because they agree with the clown in chief that Kavanaugh has been mistreated. Yet another sad day for the USA in a long line of sad days.

So, somebody game this out for me: K gets voted in with 51-53 votes, even as growing large numbers of acquaintances and/or professionals publicly oppose him and/or pull their endorsements to an unprecedented degree. Are the 5-4 rulings with him in majority widely regarded as illegitimate? What would that mean practically speaking?
