Jon Stewart on Monday caught up on Mitt Romney’s trip to London. The former governor’s first trip overseas as a presidential candidate got off to a rocky start when Romney questioned London’s readiness to host the Olympics. Needless to say, Romney ruffled a few feathers in the UK.
“What are you doing?” Stewart said. “This is no time to display your sophisticated knowledge of the inner workings of Olympic preparations. For God’s sake, Romney, how do you screw this up?”
But after conservative British Prime Minister David Cameron lobbed an insult at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, which Romney oversaw, Stewart rushed to the USA’s defense.
“You know what, when it comes to foreigners attacking the states, there is no Utah. There is only We-tah.”
