I mean that title both as a compliment but also in the purely descriptive sense. That was pretty intense. President Obama just gave the last speech of his life as a candidate for political office. That’s it. That’s over. It was an emotional and powerful speech. About as emotional as we see Barack Obama — both the fatigue at the end of the campaign, the real and in this speech very palpable frustration with the recalcitrance of his opposition in Washington and then at the end, just Fired Up. No other way to put it. Toward the end of the speech, what he said says it all: “It’s out of my hands now. It’s up to you.”

A few more polls will trickle in today, but for all practical purposes the TPM Electoral Scoreboard is set: Obama 290, Romney 191. Virginia, North Carolina and Florida are the tossups.
Some truly great pics from the last week of the campaign. Give them a look.
