Senate Republicans are meeting at present on the Hill. Reporters are staking out that meeting, and our Brian Beutler will report whatever senators have to say after they exit the room.
President Obama will address the nation in a live national TV broadcast from the East Room of the White House at 9 p.m. ET. You can watch it live here.
Shortly thereafter, Speaker Boehner will address TV cameras in the Capitol.
