‘Lying’ is a strong word to be used in politics. And it’s usually best to be avoided. But in his press conference today Sen. David Vitter categorically denied reports that his disgraced former staffer was assigned to work on women’s issues even after pleading guilty to a knife attack on his then-girlfriend in 2008.
