This is a pretty telling and (for me) depressing poll out from CNN on the PA Senate race. Pat Toomey is 4 points up over Joe Sestak (roughly in line with other polls) by 49% to 45%. That’s likely voters. Among registered voters it’s 47% to 43% in Sestak’s favor. A pretty big spread. But it gets better. That’s 4 points better than Sestak did in the previous poll, among registered voters, even though he stayed the same with likely voters.
In other words, Sestak is catching fire with people who are too languid and unmotivated to turn out and vote.
