Merkley Calls Out Dimon On Bailout Bragging

The air kisses from Banking Committee senators to Jamie Dimon sort of gave away the game at today’s hearing: as big and embarrassing as JPMorgan’s losses were, they haven’t changed the underlying political dynamic enough to threaten banks with tough new regulations. But a couple of (Democratic) senators did take their shots at Dimon, including Jeff Merkley of Oregon. Watch.
