A few weeks ago I told you that we’re taking comments off the ‘social web’. Here’s my explanation of the reasons why. What that means is that starting later this week when we switch over to the new TPM publishing platform you’ll need to register with TPM to comment. In other words, you’ll need your own TPM login. No more coming in through Facebook or Twitter or Disqus. It’s easy, free, takes about 30 seconds. And you can do it the first time you want to comment with the new system later this week. But I want to flag this so you know the switch is coming. And if you want to sign up you can do it right now at the beta version of the new site. Simply go to any article page and go down to the comment section, there you’ll find a “create a free account” link. Click there and you’ll be done in under a minute.
If you’re a Prime subscriber, don’t sign up for an account. Your Prime ID is your TPM account across the whole site.
