Polls close at 8 p.m. ET in Connecticut, and the big one we’re watching is the Republican primary for U.S. Senate. That’s where former WWE CEO Linda McMahon, wife of pro wrestling impresario Vince McMahon, looked to have a pretty much uncontested road to the GOP nomination until former Rep. Rob Simmons relaunched his campaign after essentially abandoning the race. Even though McMahon is up big in the latest polls, Simmons’ odd on-again/off-again campaign throws an interesting twist into this race. Dems are rooting for a McMahon win.
