A number of you have written in over the last couple weeks since we debuted the new front page asking if we’re still planning to offer a Prime step-up which gets you a completely ad free version of TPM. The answer is YES! We definitely are. Our tentative schedule is that we’ll offer this starting toward the end of October.

To review what we discussed a month ago, here’s how it will work: If you already have a Prime membership, you pay a few extra dollars a month and you get the same site with zero ads. No ads on desktop, no ads on tablet, no ads on mobile. No display ads and no annoying ‘around the web’ nonsense under the stories. This means a cleaner site and also a significantly faster site.
We’d love to offer it today. But our tech team is at work building out some of the site architecture for this and a few other new offerings coming this fall. So we plan on rolling it out in late October.
