The most recent FEC filings from the potential 2012 presidential field show Rick Santorum finishing strong at the end of last year, outraising all the other potential candidates except Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney.
According to the filings, Santorum’s America Foundation PAC raised $194,000 between November 23 and December 31, while Huckabee’s HuckPAC took in $35,000 in the same period. Tim Pawlenty raised $48,000, and Newt Gingrich $31,000.
Palin raised over $275,000 and Romney around $210,000.
Santorum is in South Carolina today, meeting with the Myrtle Beach Tea Party and later the Charleston Tea Party.
Earlier this week he visited New Hampshire, where he called the implementation of health care reform a reflection of the “tremendous hubris” of the White House, the AP reports.
