On Tuesday, House leaders pulled a bill to mint a Susan G. Komen coin to raise funds for breast cancer research over the foundation’s Planned Parenthood ties. As TPM’s Tierney Sneed notes, abortion politics have a way of wreaking on havoc on otherwise broadly supported bills. Earlier this year, a bipartisan anti-human trafficking bill was almost scrapped over a fight about a tucked away anti-abortion provision.
