The Secret Service’s prostitution scandal in Colombia was no match for the cable storm ignited by Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen’s comments about Mitt Romney’s wife, Ann.
“And cue the shit storm in three, two … just cue it,” Jon Stewart said on Monday. Rosen last week criticized Romney for using his wife as an economic surrogate when she has “never worked a day in her life.”
“That stupid remark triggered a full-on media shit-astrophe,” Stewart said, with Fox News leading the charge.
“There wasn’t a show, there wasn’t a satellite interview, there wasn’t a daypart that went by that Fox did not turn the full force of their ire onto the new poster child for elite homemaker snob-bobbery.”
