Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed isn’t laughing at the jokes aimed at the gridlock that’s disrupted his city this week.
After an Atlanta radio show used Twitter to promote its interview with Reed earlier this week, a user mocked the southeastern city’s response to the snowstorm that caused the traffic paralysis.
Although the storm only dumped a few inches of snow, Atlanta was left reeling. The traffic mess has resulted in nearly 1,500 crashes, including two that were fatal, and thousands were left stranded in their vehicles.
Reed didn’t take kindly to the mockery.
“Considering NYC’s most recent snow response, they may want to save their laughter,” Reed fired back.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio was widely criticized for the failure to clear roads in many areas of the city following a blizzard last week.
