Economy Added 162K Jobs In July; Unemployment Ticked Down to 7.4%

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday that the total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 162,000 last month, while the unemployment rate edged down to 7.4 percent.
