Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder (R) stated Sunday he agreed with the city of Detroit’s decision to file for bankruptcy, saying “the citizens of Detroit deserve better than they are getting today.”
“There were no other viable options,” Snyder said on ‘Meet the Press’ Sunday. “I believe it was the right thing to do.”
“The citizens of Detroit deserve better services,” he added, citing the average 58 minute response time for high priority emergency calls. “Enough is enough.”
