Video Reportedly Shows Toronto Mayor Smoking Crack

Toronto City Mayor Rob Ford clears his throat before addressing reporters at City Hall in Toronto on Thursday November 27, 2012.

A video that is said to show Toronto Mayor Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine was detailed in a riveting report published Thursday by Gawker

According to Gawker’s John Cook, the video shows Ford “red-faced and sweaty, heaving with each breath” and smoking from a “clear, glass pipe.”

Cook wrote that he opted not to purchase the video because the owner is seeking too much money.

“He thinks he can get six figures,” Cook wrote. “It’s unlikely he’s going to get six figures.”

According to the Toronto Star, the video is being shopped around the city “by a group of Somali men involved in the drug trade.” A pair of reporters at the newspaper said they have viewed the video three times.

“I’m fucking right-wing,” Ford reportedly said in the video, according to the Star. “Everyone expects me to be right-wing. I’m just supposed to be this great.…” His voice then trailed off.
