Former President Bill Clinton said Tuesday that his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, hasn’t discussed a 2016 White House bid to him but that such speculation is a waste of time.

At the Peter G. Peterson Foundation’s 2013 Fiscal Summit in Washington, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates joked that his wife, Melinda, probably won’t be running for president.

“She hasn’t mentioned it to me, either,” the former president said, according to ABC News.

Clinton added,“I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I know this: that is the worst expenditure of our time.”
