MIT Police Officer Killed By Suspects Identified

The MIT police officer who was killed by the two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombings has been identified as 26-year-old Sean Collier of Somerville, Mass., the Boston Globe reported.

An MBTA Transit Police officer, 33-year-old Richard H. Donahue Jr., 33, was wounded by the suspects, according to the Globe. Ten officers are currently being treated at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton, Mass. for injuries suffered from grenades thrown at them by the suspects during a firefight. The extent of their injuries remains unknown.
