President Barack Obama on Wednesday will meet with Democratic senators for dinner at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington, D.C., the White House announced.
The dinner will be a continuation of Obama’s so-called “charm offensive,” after breaking bread with Republican lawmakers twice already. Obama will use the dinner to discuss his proposals for the budget, gun control and immigration, Reuters reported.
Twelve Democratic senators have been invited to the dinner: Mary Landrieu (LA), Dianne Feinstein (CA), Patty Murray (WA), Dick Durbin (IL), Michael Bennet (CO), Chris Coons (DE), Jack Reed (RI), Sheldon Whitehouse (RI), Jeanne Shaheen (NH), Debbie Stabenow (MI), Mark Warner (VA) and Ron Wyden (OR).
According to Reuters, Murray organized the guest list.
