Obama Called Congressional Leaders Over The Weekend To Talk Sequestration

White House spokesman Jay Carney on Monday said President Barack Obama made phone calls over the weekend to congressional leaders from both parties to discuss the sequestration spending cuts, which officially went into effect late Friday.

Carney, who addressed the phone calls during an afternoon press briefing, didn’t have a list of the members of Congress who the President called.
