Foursquare, the geolocation social network and app, on Wednesday released a new feature:Best Of” lists for businesses and sites in 30 U.S. cities, based on users’ actions including “check-ins,” likes and dislikes. Here’s a promotional image of a “Best of Food” list from Foursquare below:

The move comes just a day after Foursquare released an app for business owners who want to manage their establishments’ listings on the social network and interact with its users, providing discounts or special offers for recurrent visitors. Foursquare in late 2012 changed its desktop website to prominently feature a search bar and is moving to position itself less as a game, as it did when it first launched, and more as a local listings service on par with Yelp.
