Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) on Tuesday said that Vice President Joe Biden has informed House Democrats that the White House will lean on the grassroots infrastructure from President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign to promote the administration’s preferred gun control measures, CNN reported.
Biden informed the Democratic members of the administration’s intentions during a meeting on Monday. Obama is scheduled to disclose Biden’s gun policy recommendations on Wednesday, although McCarthy said she isn’t sure what the president will reveal.
