Google Now, Google’s personalized information delivery service for Android 4.1 smartphones that was released over the summer, received several major updates on Wednesday. Google Now’s new features include the ability to automatically surface weather forecasts for a user’s travel destination, support for digital boarding passes from United Airlines (more airlines coming soon, the company said). It will also show relevant activities and events at a user’s destination.
The service, which is part of Google’s Search app for Android phones, comes at the same time as other updates for Search for Android, including a song identifier, product barcode scanner and voice-controlled updates to a user’s Google Plus account.
