Indiana Rep. Mike Pence distanced himself from Senate candidate Richard Mourdock’s comments that pregnancies from rape are the will of God.
“I strongly disagree with the statement made by Richard Mourdock during last night’s Senate debate. I urge him to apologize,” Rep. Pence said in a statement Wednesday morning, via the Evansville Courier & Press.
Pence is the Republican candidate in Indiana’s race for governor.
