YouTube appeared knocked offline briefly as of 4:20 pm ET, with the following error message appearing:
The website did return around 4:30 just time to begin the audio stream of Google’s disastrous third-quarter earnings call, which had been leaked earlier in the day.
Updated 4:53 pm EST: A YouTube spokesperson provided TPM the following statement on the outage: “We’re aware that some users are having trouble accessing YouTube. Our engineers are looking into it and will push a fix as soon as possible.”
