Pennsylvania has pulled an advertisement about voter ID requirements at the polls after a judge prevented the state from implimenting much of the law in November. Lawyers for the civil rights organizations that opposed the law asked the state to pull the ads after a judge tossed out portions of the voter ID law this week. Under the judge’s ruling, poll workers are allowed to ask for photo ID but voters can still cast a regular ballot without showing it.
“We are in the process of making some changes to our radio and TV ads to reflect the judge’s order,” Ron Ruman, a spokesman for the Department of State, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
