Top Mitt Romney campaign adviser Eric Fehrnstrom told CNN Sunday that they’ve broken the mold on campaigns and put Republicans on offense when it comes to Medicare.
“This is the first election cycle I can remember in a long time where Democrats are on the defensive because of Medicare,” Fehrnstom said. “The reason they’re on the defensive is because of the mistake that they made to go raid Medicare in order to create a massive new entitlement called ‘Obamacare.'”
Fehrnstrom said defending Paul Ryan’s cuts to Medicare and Romney’s plan to add vouchers to the system for future beneficiaries was “not a concern.”
