Family Research Council Shooting Suspect Held On Assault With A Deadly Weapon Charge

Floyd Lee Corkins II, a 28-year-old resident of Herdon, Va., is being held overnight on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, the FBI said in a statement to TPM and other media outlets late Wednesday evening. The investigation into the shooting of a security guard at the headquarters of the conservative Family Research Council continues, authorities said.
