Paul Ryan embraced his campaign’s new attack ad in an interview with Fox News Tuesday, repeating the charge that President Obama cut Medicare spending by $716 billion — and affirmed that he thinks it will be a winning issue for the Romney-Ryan campaign in November.
“Polls suggest that people automatically think Republicans are hostile for Medicare,” said Hume. “Can it be a winning issue for you now?”
“Absolutely,” said Ryan. “We’re the ones offering a plan to save Medicare, protect Medicare. Strengthen Medicare. We are the ones who are not raiding Medicare to pay for Obamacare.”
