Two British journalists were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of alleged making illegal payments to police, The Guardian reports. One of the reporters was identified as Sunday Mirror crime correspondent Justin Penrose. The other, according to Sky News, is Tom Savage of the Daily Star Sunday. Reuters reports that the journalists’ arrests are the first confirmed cases of alleged corruption at non-News Corp publications.
