CNN reports that the son of Mexico’s most wanted man was arrested on Thursday. Alfredo Guzman Salazar, son of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, was picked up in Jalisco state, having been indicted with his father in 2009 on various drug trafficking charges.
El Chapo oversees the notorious Sinaloa drug cartel, and is considered the most wanted man in the country. The DEA was present for Salazar’s arrest and aided the Mexican navy with intelligence necessary in locating him.
