Nuclear talks between Iran and six other nations have begun in Moscow. The meeting, which will last two days, comes after a round of discussions in Baghdad that saw Iran nearly walk out of negotiations to protest the proposals set to limit uranium enrichment.
The six countries discussing enrichment and weapons production with Iran — the US, Russia, China, France, Britain, and Germany — have asked Tehran to stop producing higher-grade uranium, close its underground facility at Fordow, and remove any enriched uranium. In return the six countries would lift sanctions and supply nuclear fuel supplies for a research reactor. Hossein Mousavian, the former Iranian negotiator, called the offer “diamonds for peanuts.”
